Welcome to the GNP IT Help Desk!

The GNP IT team supports the L&S Departments of Geography and Planning & Landscape Architecture, plus UW-Madison’s Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. Our ticketing system allows you to open or update a ticket for the GNP IT Help Desk.

Supported services for the GNP IT Help Desk include University-owned computers and peripherals, department printing, computer labs, classroom support, Science Hall room and resource calendars, account and server access for GNP IT-hosted services, and other needs.

Before you open a ticket we STRONGLY encourage you to read our extensive knowledge base and search the DoIT Knowledge Base first, as most questions asked through the GNP IT Help Desk can be answered with a quick search at either KB.

Both resources cover the topics above and more. Logging into the internal KB covers GNP IT-offered services in finer detail. Authorized NetID login is required for access to the internal KB.
